Camp site is good size and pitches are great.Toilhet / facilities are good, however an extra family shower would be beneficial at peak usage times.The farm animals and talks by Mike are amazing.Only downside of being on plot E27 is hearing the hand-driers being used throughout the night and hearing loud noisy guests gathered around the toilet facilities after 10pm.Suggestion from the children, is there any chance of adding either a small cricket pitch to the play area - The H
The site was much bigger than we expected! The staff had been really helpful when we booked helping us choose a pitch big enough for our huge tent and pup tent ( we are foster carers). Unfortunately when we arrived we ended up pitched in the wrong place, we felt the map wasn’t clear but it was our mistake for not checking. This wasn’t picked up til day 4 when we had to move. It was a shame and took a while but we were grateful for the campsite staff helping us which made it much quicker and easier. And the staff then became the kids friends and chatted to them lots! They also enjoyed going to see the animals with farmer Mick everyday, and the numerous food vans that came each day!We found there to be plentiful showers and toilets and never had to queue, even in the summer holidays, though it could get quite busy in the ladies with people doing their make up and using the electric for straighteners and even to boil a kettle! We couldn’t fault it though and don’t really get the reviews saying there aren’t enough or they aren’t clean! We found them fine and we have teenage girls!I think our only issue was that the pitches in the main electric field are all pretty packed in which meant it felt pretty noisy compared with other sites we have stayed at. It was hard to get to sleep for the kids and especially after we’d moved pitch our new neighbours were very noisy, setting up a communal area right outside our bedrooms meaning we left a day early. There are curfews and the staff do patrol to make sure music if off but in reality it’s an impossible job on a site that big! I think next time we’d try and find a quieter spot, but the kids really enjoyed it and thought it was a great site, and it was fab even the younger ones could have a bit of freedom to explore safely within the site.- Z
Stayed where with some mum friends and my sons and it was lovely. There were some special added touches like fire wood and marshmallows with coffee sachets that were really appreciated. Loved the farm too and the woods- D
