Out & about around weybourne and beyond

Around Breck farm

The farm is one mile from the villages of Weybourne and Bodham. The nearest shops and pubs, both of which serve food, are in these villages.

The farm is surrounded by excellent walking, cycling and horse riding routes. From the site you are connected with routes to the heath, coast and woodland.  Walking maps are available from the farmhouse.

Weybourne also offers opportunities for horse riding, and is on the coast although the beach here is for fishing rather than swimming.

Bodham has a large swimming pool and gym including a steam room, sauna, and sun-bed, which is open to visitors all year round.

Holt is the nearest large market town, a picturesque place with high quality restaurants, art galleries and excellent independent shops. It is also famed for its antique shops.

Sheringham is also only 4 miles away. A seaside town with a lovely sandy beach, cafes, restaurants, a golf course, a large leisure pool and a link to Holt with a glorious steam engine, that also stops just up the road at Weybourne.

Other Local beaches include:

  • Cromer (~7 miles) - A traditional seaside beach with a pier, all the facilities and a bustling town.
  • Cley (~6 miles) - A stony beach, but nice for swimming and facilities are available. Famous for its bird watching.
  • Blakeney (~7 miles) - A quay but perfect for crabbing or playing in the mud! Also a location for going on Seal Trips.
  • Stiffkey (~10 miles) - No facilities but a lovely sandy beach where you can get away from everyone. Not ideal for young kids as a reasonable walk to the water but seals are often spotted and there is lots of mud.
  • Wells (~14 miles) - The quay is another excellent crabbing spot and the beach is large and sandy but it can get busy.
  • Holkham (~17 Miles) - The famous massive sandy beach but is a 40 minute drive from here.

Wroxham in the centre of the broads and is 40 minutes drive away. Here you can hire boats for the day and do tours of the broads.
